Story: When England had Mina Murray gather the third League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Nemo was the first member she got. Contrary to common beliefs, he had not died in the maelstrom between the islands Faroe and Lofoden but had laid low for a while [1, 4]. He was drafted by Mina Murray to the third incarnation of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in 1897. For his participation he was offered a pardon for his crimes against the British Empire [4].

Captain Nemo only worked for England for a short time. When Dr. Moreau's anthrax/streptococcus hybrid was used to kill the Martians, and all the humans in the vicinity, during the Martian's attack on Earth in 1898, he left the league and stopped working for England [3]. His cooperation with Mina Murray and Allan Quatermain did not stop however. On their further adventures, Nemo helped them on several occasions [2, 4].

Nemo was last mentioned to be living in the Blazing World in 1958 [4].

When The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (LXG) was released as a movie in 2003, Captain Nemo was a part of the league, played by Naseeruddin Shah.
